Privacy notice
This site is run by Claudiu Sfetan, the founder-engineer behind Claudius dev. It is a portfolio and studio website. You can use its enquiry form to discuss a project. This notice explains how those details and optional analytics are handled, and how to exercise your rights.
Last updated 26 September 2026.
Project enquiries
When you submit an enquiry, we store your name, email address and message, together with any website, budget or timeframe you choose to provide. Your name, email and message are needed to respond; the other fields are optional. We record the page you used and the submission time, and manage follow-up notes and the enquiry's progress in a private inbox.
We use these details to respond to your request and discuss a possible project, including taking steps at your request before entering a contract. We also have a legitimate interest in managing business enquiries and protecting the form from abuse. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
Enquiries are stored on our hosting infrastructure with access restricted to the owner. Resend processes notification emails sent to us, containing an enquiry reference and a private inbox link, rather than your message or contact details. Replies sent by email are also handled by the email providers involved.
We keep enquiry information while it is needed for the project discussion and any resulting work. When a discussion ends, we review whether the record is still needed for agreed follow-up, contractual obligations or resolving a dispute, and remove information that no longer serves those purposes. You can contact us to request access, correction or deletion.
If you accept analytics, we may also record a recognised campaign source with your enquiry. We do not send your name, email, message, budget or enquiry reference to Google Analytics. Declining analytics does not prevent you from submitting the form.
Analytics, only if you accept
The site can use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. It runs only after you choose Accept analytics in the consent bar. Until then, and if you decline, nothing is sent to Google and no analytics cookies are set.
When analytics is on, Google records which pages you view, roughly where you are (Google shortens the IP address before storing it), and which device and browser you use. It sets cookies beginning with _ga so it can tell returning visits apart. The data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy, and I see it only in aggregate.
The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the Cookie settings control in the footer; choosing Decline stops analytics immediately and clears your earlier choice.
What the site stores in your browser
- Your consent choice, kept in your browser's local storage under the key claudiusdev.analytics-consent so the bar does not reappear on every page. It contains only the word accepted or declined.
- Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by the property id), set only after you accept.
Form answers are kept in the current page while you fill them in; they are not saved to browser storage. There are no advertising cookies or third-party embeds.
Server logs
The web server that serves this site records standard request logs: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's identification string. I use them only to operate and secure the site. Application diagnostics use error categories rather than enquiry messages or contact details. Operational logs and backups are managed separately from the private enquiry records.
Contacting me
If you email me, message me on WhatsApp or open my LinkedIn profile, you leave this site and that service's own privacy terms apply. I keep emails and messages you send me for as long as we are in contact about a project.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask what personal data I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, and object to or restrict how I use it. For analytics data, withdrawing consent through Cookie settings is the quickest route. To exercise any right, email contact@claudiusdev.com. If you are unhappy with my answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
